To facilitate the student, by means of those contents, independently to continue with its studies or their incorporation to the work, to help to the solution of the demands practical of the daily life and to stimulate its active participation in the social, cultural and political life of the nation (SEP, 1993). The objectives of the subjects of natural sciences in relation to dimension CTS are: 1. To emphasize aspects on health, hygiene, human reproduction and sexuality, as well as preservation of means. 2. To analyze simple operation of machine and the energy saving. 3. To recognize evident aspects of sciences in the daily life.

4. To use materials of the daily life. 5. To use the history of science to support its education. 6. To discuss phenomena like rain acid, airborne contamination, ozone hole in the stratosphere. 7.

To contribute to give to a positive image of science and the technology. 8. To realise analysis cost/benefits in relation to some processes and chemical agents. Finally, it is necessary to foment for the education a new social contract between science, the technology and the society, that a balance in the values looks for to instill, with respect to: domination and/or respect to the nature; economic benefit and/or social benefit; consumption and/or the respect to the consumer, and fundamentally between cultural diversity and/or globalisation, since the education of science and the technology entail, as we already saw, transmission and construction of attitudes and values. For this reason, it is a moral and political task to which we are due to jeopardize, although ties axiolgicos conflicts with respect to collective responsibilities and I interest and ideologies dominant, where he will be central to make ethical decisions.
